Fascinating at so many levels….the destructive forces of communism; individual hopelessness, frustration, loss of dignity, impoverishment. While at the same time retaining their dignity, values, friendliness and kindness. The bold and brilliant colors of a Caribbean island mixed with the decaying infrastructure creating a fascinating tapestry for photography. I leave wiser, but deeply saddened. The US embargo only hurts the very people who are already deprived because of the totalitarian military rule. They are all done with this political regime and want out. But….
